About Us
Fata Disable Welfare Organization (FDWO) is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non political organization. It works for the welfare of disable community without any discrimination on the bases of caste, color, ethnicity, culture and religion.
FDWO was formed in January 2016 to work in newly merged districts of erstwhile FATA. It has three offices located in South Waziristan headquarter Wana, Kurram and also one central office in Peshawar. FDWO operations runs with the help of local community and it believes in equal opportunities for all and prosperous humanity.
What we do
FDWO aspires to continue its humanitarian vision of enhancing the quality of life of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and integrate them into mainstream society. FDWO believes to enhance the quality of life of disabled persons by providing skills training, Vocational support, physical well-being support, improving soft skills and promoting parental involvement.
We Aid Blast Victims
Founded by a terrorism survivor in 2015, FDWO offers both physical and emotional support to those disabled by terrorist and bomb blasts in former tribal regions.
We Provide Prosthetics & Mobility Tools
The organization has supplied over 186 artificial limbs to terrorism victims and distributed around 200 wheelchairs to those in need.
We Serve Remote & Underserved Areas
FDWO organizes medical camps across remote tribal districts and has even established an artificial‑limb center in Wana to ensure access to care where it’s needed most.
Rehabilitate Terrorism Survivors
FDWO has supported more than 1,043 individuals providing financial aid, laptops, and assistance with procuring bionic arms and legs through ceremonies and rehabilitation efforts in Peshawar.
